For the last couple of year we have been working in Tallinn, Estonia at St Nicholas church. The work consisted of taking photos and documenting the altarpiece by the German painter Hermen Rode. As well as working in Tallinn, we visited Rode’s home town of Lubeck where we recorded the altarpiece there.
In few days there will be exhibition opening in Lubeck’s St Anne museum to celebrate the city’s 1500th anniversary. At this exhibition we have provided the touch-screen presentation that introduces our technical imaging work. Our presentation is built on top of IIPimage system which allows users to explore high resolution images photographed using multispectral photography.
In addition to our work, Wiseman Llc has created the multimedia presentation of the both altarpieces with the user interface designed by Marti Laurimaa.
The work is funded by Europeana Space project Estonian Ministry of Culture and is supported by University of Southampton Archaeological Computing Research Group.
