Archaeovision were hired by the New Forest National Park Authority to record the Ice House Beaulieu as part of their ongoing conservation work of the building, with the results used for repair work and as an educational tool for the local schools.

A Faro Focus x130 was used within this recoridng as it provided the ability to quickly record the area needed, whilst being lightweight enough to easily lower down the scanner into the three meter domed structure to record the internal features. The laser scan model identified structural features of interest and a detailed CAD drawing was produced for the New Forest archaeology team and structural engineer who are working on the conservation of the building.
