During the summer Archaeovision completed one of our largest recording projects to date, on behalf of the University of Lancaster’s Digital Humanities Hub<\/a> and Manx National Heritage<\/a> recording all Early Medieval Crosses found on the Isle of Man. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since our last post, the work has now been completed and online version of all of the Medieval Crosses found on the Isle of Man are now available online through the Manx Heritage Sketchfab page<\/a>. These models are decimated versions of the original for online sharing, and the data provided to the museum was recorded at a 25 micron (0.025mm) resolution and provides an unparalleled resource for conservation purposes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work has now been shared through several news outlets including the BBC and an outline of the completed work, the project partners, as well as the importance that the recording provides to the conservators managing this important heritage collection is available in the link below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
